  1. 0DDsetup Interface is FREE and can be used by any sysop using DDPlus style doors.
  2. 0The DDSetup Interface can be used to setup almost any door that uses the DDPlus
  3. 0door kit control file format.  Simply type in the path and file name in the
  4. 0blue input area.  If the control file doesn't already exist it can be created
  5. 0by this program.  After entering the desired control file click continue or
  6. 0press Alt-C or Escape.
  7. 0
  8. 0The second screen lists the values of all the fields of the control file. All
  9. 0fields are free entry fields and can be typed over.  Some fields have pick
  10. 0lists.  Each list consists of all the acceptable parameters for this element.
  11. 0(If the field has a light blue background it has a pick list.)
  12. 0
  13. 0CONTROL:  The fields can be selected by either clicking with a mouse or using
  14. 0the arrow or tab keys to manuever from field to field. Also, the function keys
  15. 0and certain alt keys can be used:
  16. 0
  17. 0F1  - Alt-H  (Help - online help menu)  F2  - Alt-P  (Pick list selections)
  18. 0F3  - Alt-S  (Save - save the file)     F5  - Alt-C  (Continue)
  19. 0F10 - Alt-X  (eXit)

  21. 0DOOR COMMAND LINE PARMS:  The door can also be controlled using the following
  22. 0parameters:
  23. 0/Bxxx - Specify locked baud rate (i.e. /B38400)
  24. 0/Cx   - Specify comport number.  (x is 1-4)
  25. 0/E    - Use ESM for extra memory.
  26. 0/L    - Local mode
  27. 0/Nx   - Specify node number. (x is 1-9)
  28. 0/Mx   - Specify multiple ctl file number. (x is up to 2 filename characters)
  29. 0/R    - Force RIP graphics (disabled in many doors).
  30. 0/Pyyy - Specify path to drop file (i.e. /Pc:\bbs\node1).
  31. 0/V    - Turn local video off (i.e. local screen color is statback).
  32. 0/W    - A Dos only network is present (but not using a multi-tasker).

  34. 0Note - Check sysop docs to see if all or other parms apply to a particular door.
  35. 1Sysop First - Specifies the first name of the sysop as it will be shown to
  36. 1              the users.

  38. 1Sysop Last - Specifies the last name of the sysop as it will be shown to the
  39. 1             users.

  41. 1BBS Name  - Specifies the name of the bbs as it will be shown to users.
  42. 2BBSType     Specifies the type of bbs software under which this door program
  43. 2            will be run. Valid bbs types include:
  44. 2
  45. 2                  DOORSYS - The DOOR.SYS format (Wildcat!,GAP,TAG, etc)
  46. 2                     RBBS - Rbbs version 16.1+  (uses v1 of DORINFOx.DEF*)
  47. 2                    QUICK - Quickbbs,Force,R.A. (uses v2 of DORINFOx.DEF**)
  48. 2                    PCB15 - Pcboard version 15
  49. 2                  PHOENIX - Phoenix bbs (uses INFO.BBS)
  50. 2                 SPITFIRE - Spitfires bbs (uses SFDOORS.DAT)
  51. 2                     WWIV - WWIV bbs (uses CHAIN.TXT)
  52. 2                      2AM - 2 A.M. software (uses JUMPER.DAT)
  53. 2                   TRIBBS - TriBBS software (uses TRIBBS.SYS)
  54. 2                    PCB14 - Pcboard version 14
  55. 2                    PCB12 - Pcboard version 12 (note: see COMPORT help)
  56. 2                 CALLINFO - Old Wildcat 2.xx(obsolete dropfile CALLINFO.BBS)

  58. 2Notes  *   ANSI graphics is selected when a "2" is passed in the graphics
  59. 2           parameter of the DORINFOx.DEF.   RBBS standard.
  60. 2       **  ANSI graphics is selected when a "1" is passed in the graphics
  61. 2           parameter of the DORINFOx.DEF.   QuickBBS,Remote Access,FORCE,
  62. 2           UltraBBS and many shareware BBSes require this type.
  63. 3Internal - Communications are handled by the door programs own internal
  64. 3communication routines.  Generally this uses less processing than any other
  65. 3method.  Speeds can be as high as 115,200 baud.  Locking is usually not
  66. 3necessary and may have no affect at all.
  67. 3If internal is specified then it is possible to define the port address and
  68. 3the IRQ number.  This is only necessary if the port and irq are other than the
  69. 3standard configuration or conflict with other irqs.  A hexadecimal number is
  70. 3input below the desired port number.  Below this type the IRQ number (0-15).
  71. 3
  72. 3Fossil - Standard Bios fossil routines.  These can handle communication speeds
  73. 3up to and including 38,400 baud.  When choosing a fossil you must also select
  74. 3whether or not it is to be locked.
  75. 3
  76. 3XFossil - High Speed Extended fossil routines.   These can handle speeds up to
  77. 3115,200 speed.   When choosing a fossil you must also select whether or not it
  78. 3is to be locked.
  79. 4LockBaud   This will specify a locked baud rate.   If you specify this
  80. 4           parameter, then no matter what the bbs software says, this baud
  81. 4           rate will be used.
  82. 4           [NOTE: You can also specify the locked baud rate using /Bxxxx from
  83. 4           the command line]
  84. 5Status     Specify "ON" if you wish the status line to appear at the bottom
  85. 5           of "OFF" if you wish it to be disabled.
  86. 5
  87. 5Statfore   Statfore foreground color of the status line.
  88. 5           Valid numbers (0-15);
  89. 5
  90. 5Statback   The background color of the status line or entire local screen
  91. 5           if /V command line parm is issued.
  92. 5           Valid numbers (0-7)

  94. 5             Color codes:  1 : blue      6 : brown        11 : light cyan
  95. 5                           2 : green     7 : light grey   12 : bright red
  96. 5             0 : black     3 : cyan      8 : dark grey    13 : light magenta

  98. 5                           5 : magenta  10 : light green  15 : white
  99. 6Maxtime    The maxtime parameter will allow you to specify a maximum time per
  100. 6           session that a user may be in the door. (i.e. if you specified 30
  101. 6           minutes, then if the user had 60 mins left, he could only play for
  102. 6           30 mins). Otherwise the maximum time is the users time remaining
  103. 6           per the bbs dropfile.
  104. 7Mono       Will disable color on the local side. (Necessary if you are
  105. 7           running a monochrome system)
  106. 7
  107. 7Color1     Tells the door to select ANSI graphics when a "1" is passed in the
  108. 7           graphics parameter of the DORINFOx.DEF.
  109. 7           If you are correctly using the right version of dorinfox.def this
  110. 7           will NOT be needed.
  111. 7           Indeed this is included only to maintain consistancy with previous
  112. 7           versions.
  113. 8ComPort    For bbs types that do not have the com-port contained in their
  114. 8           door dropfiles (such as PCBOARD-12), you will have to specify
  115. 8           the comport. Simply put the port number (i.e. 1,2,etc) not the
  116. 8           whole word COM1 in the field.
  117. 8           As the most common dropfiles do have the comport number this is
  118. 8           only needed by those rare systems without it.
  119. 8
  120. 8           [NOTE: A much better way to specify the comport is to use the
  121. 8           /Cx parameter from the command line.]
  122. 9Pausecode  Specifies the Rip pause code that your bbs uses.  This will
  123. 9           be added to multiple page Rip scores file so you can use them
  124. 9           as a bulletin.
  125. APort1      If you must use a non-standard interrupt, the door can be
  126. APort2      configured for IRQs 0-15. The port# indicates the chosen comport
  127. APort3      Follow this with the port address in hex.  Afterward put the IRQ
  128. APort4      in decimal.  For an example if comport 3 at IRQ 15 and address
  129. A           $03E8 was needed use the following:
